Misc Other Cast

Ashley Scott’s series, Jericho, will return next year for its much anticipated second season. It will premiere Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at 10 pm ET/PT.

Tune in every Tuesday at 9 pm (after you finish NCIS, of course) to watch Reaper. Valerie Rae Miller is on the show as Josie, a girl who works in City Hall and has a few a lot of issues with her ex-boyfriend (she is definitely not playing Original Cindy anymore). Tune in every Tuesday at 9 pm on the CW.

Alright, now apparently all of you Jericho fans are insanely loyal, and apparently it isn’t all for nothing! NBC has just ordered 7 more episodes of Jericho! I’m thinking that it might be because they didn’t want anymore nuts (apparently there was somewhere around 30,000 pounds sent to their offices!)
If you want to get more episodes of Jericho, the ratings need to improve. So tell your friends and get them to tell their friends to watch! The DVD comes out September 25th in the US, so buy it. Heck, buy one for everyone you know. DVD sales count for something. Also, the creators said they will be “continuing the story of Jericho in the digital world until the new episodes return.” (I honestly have no idea what that means, but fans might.)

Nina Tassler, president of NBC, had this to say:

“On behalf of everyone at CBS, thank you for expressing your support of Jericho in such an extraordinary manner. Your protest was creative, sustained and very thoughtful and respectful in tone. You made a difference.”

I’m sorry to say that CBS has officially cancelled Ashley Scott’s series ‘Jericho’. CBS president Nina Tassler wrote to all ‘Jericho’ fans on the official message board at the CBS website. She had this to say:

We have read your emails over the past few days and have been touched by the depth and passion with which you have expressed your disappointment. Please know that canceling a television series is a very difficult decision. Hundreds of people at the Network, the production company and the incredibly-talented creative team worked very hard to build and serve the community for this show — both on-air and online. It is a show we loved too.

Thank you for supporting Jericho with such passion. We truly appreciate the commitment you made to the series and we are humbled by your disappointment. In the coming weeks, we hope to develop a way to provide closure to the compelling drama that was the Jericho story.

Sincerely,
Nina Tassler, President of CBS Entertainment

Well my computer decided to pack it in quite seriously last weekend which delayed this update, but we got it back today and although it’s still the ancient dinosaur that takes five years to load anything and sometimes makes loud and somewhat constipated thunking noises that it was a few days ago, at least it actually goes again. Right? Now, on with the update I’ve been itching to make (and will only actually be relevant to the minority anyway.)

If like me, you reside in New Zealand, the long-awaited thought-it’d-never-get-here news that you need to hear is that both Jensen Ackle’s ‘Supernatural’ and Ashley Scott’s ‘Jericho’ are coming to our screens! FINALLY!!

Supernatural will be making it’s NZ debut on TV2, and ditto for Jericho which will be airing on TV3. Dates haven’t been released yet but within the next couple of weeks is the assumption. Hopefully, they won’t clash with each other… But I’m just sure they will. Grr.

TVGuide.com has an interview with Ashley Scott regarding Jericho.  It can be found here but beware spoilers.

Did you catch the premiere of Jericho? And if so, what did you think of it?  The Boston Herald says:

… It’s easy to think of “Jericho” as the anti-”Lost.” These people know exactly where they are; it’s the rest of the world that is missing. So how do they hang onto themselves, their families, even a semblance of civility, when even the simplest thing promises to be an ordeal? And what has happened to the rest of the world? And if you manage to survive Armageddon, what do you do with yourself? Will your life be worth living?” Jericho’s” questions could make the series the next big TV addiction.
