Michael Weatherly

Don’t forget to tune in to NCIS tonight at 8 on CBS! Weatherly’s show returns from summer hiatus tonight.

Mona Buehler of CBS Watch! Magazine has sent us the following message:

We wanted to bring your attention to the subject of this month’s cover of CBS Watch! Magazine – Michael Weatherly. We brought the actor to Paris for a fun travel feature, and we’ve got amazing photos of him visiting all the sites throughout the issue. We also did a “Casino Royale” themed fashion shoot with Michael at the famed Hotel de Crillon and sat down with him for a telling one-on-one interview.

You can find Watch! at Barnes & Noble or Borders.

Michael Weatherly’s tv show NCIS has been picked up by CBS for next year! We’ll continue to see Weatherly play the oh so lovable Agent Tony DiNozzo for the fifth year. In the US it will stay in it’s current time slot on CBS at 8 pm on Tuesdays.

The season finale of NCIS is approaching, and Iluvaqt posted news at the forum of an article hinting one of the main cast members is going to die. Question any Michael Weatherly fan will most likely be asking; will it be Agent Anthony Dinozzo?

TV INSIDER: Hell Breaks Loose on ‘NCIS’

You know the network TV season is coming to an end when all hell breaks loose — including a biological attack that will take place May 17 on ‘NCIS.’ That launches the story arc that will wind up with the May 24 season-ender, which will find ‘one of the team members in deep, deep trouble’ as creator-exec producer Don Bellisario puts it. ‘It’s going to be a shocker. It’s going to have such an impact on the show, it will carry over into next season.’ Actually, word is that one of the main characters dies, but wily veteran Bellisario’s not confirming. The master showman — who has brought us series including ‘Magnum, P.I.,’ ‘Quantum Leap,’ and ‘JAG’ — would rather talk about how his Mark Harmon starrer has become increasingly popular despite being programmed opposite ‘American Idol.’ ‘In fact, we’ve even done fairly well when we’ve had a rerun on against ‘American Idol,'’ he crows. ‘I think ‘NCIS’ will get an audience who’s never seen the show giving it a try this summer, and it will carry over into the fall.’ Surely he’d like CBS to give it a less difficult slot. ‘Not really,’ he says. ‘I think it’s just fine where it is.’ Wonder how he’ll feel May 25, the day after shows’ finales go head to head?

Thanks to Iluvaqt for posting the following cast update to the forum:

Entertainment Tonight has an article on NCIS regarding the fall lineup, and included is a quote by Michael Weatherly, who plays Tony Dinozzo:

As for his role in the second season, Weatherly says with a smile, “I think it is important for DiNozzo to date a lot of pretty girls, and I think he should shoot his weapon. Really, I am just happy to have a job and report to work everyday.”

Hmm… Now, which ‘weapon’ was Michael thinking of shooting I wonder?

One of the latest shows to make it’s appearence here in New Zealand is the crime drama Navy NCIS, co-starring Michael Weatherly as Special Agent Anthony DiNozzo. NZ fans of MW can catch the show on Sunday nights at 8.30pm.

Meanwhile, fans who are familiar with Michael’s role in the show may like to discuss one of our forum’s latest topics started by OD: Spot Logan Cale In Tony DiNozzo. This thread was inspired by a discussion on DA cast members in new roles, and how it can be easy to want to pretend they’re still the same character (well, I do anyway. :P ). So, can you spot any traces of Logan’s character in Tony?

Happy Birthday to Michael who celebrated his 36th on July 8.

Also, he’ll play a starring role in upcoming romantic comedy, Her Minor Thing. I had a link to an article about it, but I’ve lost it. Oh well, stay tuned!
