Nicki Aycox (Syl): is in the movie Dead Birds which will be premiering at the Torronto Film Festival between September 9-18. Nicky plays the character Annabelle in the movie, which is about a band of outlaws who take refuge on an abandoned plantation during the American Civil War and ultimately must decide if their fate inside its walls is worse than the one that awaits them outside. Further information on the movie including set pics and a detailed synopsis can be found at UHM.
If IMDB is anything to go by, Martin Cummins is set to be in a TV movie called Platinum Rush which is currently in production. I have no idea what it’s about, except that Martin plays the character of Evan Lauker. If anyone has any further news on this, please drop me a morsel!
Supernatural picked up for full season|Okay I admit it, I’ve been exceptionally slack on the updates around here for a few months now - full time job, full time family, no time for spare time… (and I keep hitting the wrong keys as I hardly ever sit down at the ‘puter to type these days!)
So I wasn’t here in time to post about the pilot of Jensen’s new show Supernatural, but considering here in little old New Zealand I don’t have a hope of hell of seeing it any time soon anyway… *grumble grumble*
If you’ve seen Supernatural and would like to leave your feedback, or haven’t seen it and would like to share your grumblings on the injustice of living in a country that takes a decade or two to buy what every other country has already seen *kicks TVNZ* then hit the comment button on this post, or come along to the TBW forum and air your thoughts in the Jensen in Supernatural thread!
Oh, one more thing, Supernatural has been picked up for a full season. Click the link below for the full story.

Sci-fi thriller Supernatural is the latest series to be picked up for a full season.
The show, starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, follows two brothers in search of their father, fending off a relentless stream of evil forces on their way.
Over its first four episodes, Supernatural has grown to an average of 5.3 million viewers, backed by strong figures in the key demos. The order is for a total of 22 episodes.
“Supernatural has delivered in a huge way for us, with genuinely scary episodes every week, and it just keeps getting better,” said David Janollari, entertainment president at the WB. “Eric Kripke, McG and Bob Singer have done a terrific job executing their vision and we expect the show to be a long-term player at The WB.”
Supernatural will air in the UK on ITV from January.
