For those who’ve reached TBW by googling in “jensen in supernatural pilot”, you can rest assured that Supernatural will debut on The WB in September and is set to air Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT
From TheWB.com:
Gilmore Girls’ breakout star Jared Padalecki and Smallville’s Jensen Ackles are Sam and Dean Winchester; two young brothers bound by tragedy and blood to a dangerous, “other-worldly” mission. Crisscrossing the country in their ‘69 Chevy Impala, they carry on their missing father’s quest to seek out and silence the supernatural forces responsible for their mother’s murder twenty years ago.
So, what can you expect from the show? Well for one, the Pilot was directed by David Nutter, who also directed the pilot of Dark Angel. That alone deserves a cookie. And Supernatural’s executive producer, McG, recently told scifi.com that they’ll be “exploring the darker components of storytelling” by tapping into the same vein as Angel, The Ring, The Grudge and The Amityville Horror. Fan of the Japanese horror wave? McG says you’ll be seeing a lot of it on the show.
From scifi.com:
McG previously produced and directed the Charlie’s Angels films and is signed to do the same on the upcoming Hot Wheels movie. He added: “We hooked up with David Nutter [who directed the Supernatural pilot and will serve as an executive producer], and he’d obviously put together great things with The X-Files. Eric Kripke [The WB’s failed series Tarzan] wrote the show for us. And we’re just really, really excited to give people those scares week in and week out and to truly get you to a place where you cannot watch this show by yourself, or you ain’t going to sleep that night.”
McG added that he’s not concerned about the potential limitations of putting across scary, violent stories on television. “I think a lot of the scares exist in the mind, which really works for this format,” he said. “So we’re able to manipulate that experience and create those scares and not get into a situation with broadcast standards. We’re very influenced by the Japanese horror wave and creating a psychological terror, and that’s what you’re going to see a lot of on the show.”

From TeenHollywood.com:
Sexy actress Jessica Alba is so clumsy she recently shut her head in her boyfriend’s car door.
The former Dark Angel star admits she’s has a long history of injuring herself, and when she was out with her beau Cash Warren, she unfortunately continued the tradition.
She says, “It’s not unnatural for me to feel nerdy. I do goofy things all the time. I trip, I knock things over.”
“The other day, I bashed myself in the head with a door. I was in my boyfriend’s car and I closed the door with my head still sticking out.
“I wasn’t used to his car, so I closed the door on my head. I am not a coordinated person; I just play coordinated people.”

Ashley and Jessica both made Maxim’s Hot 100 list for 2005. Jessica came in high on the list at #5, and Ashley came in at a respectable #46. We can also look forward to seeing both of them in the movie Into the Blue, which is expected to hit theaters in July..
(Thanks to VietAngel for posting this news at the forum.)

As well as coming in at #46 on Maxim’s Hot 100 list for 2005, Ashley Scott (Asha) has been busy filming a pilot for ABC called Sold! (formerly ‘Westside‘), about an upscale L.A. real estate agency.
Keep an eye out for her alongside Jessica in Into the Blue which hits theatres in July.
(Thanks VietAngel)

Gah, my connection is so slow tonight… No groundbreaking news story today, but I did add a new affiliate yesterday, JensenAckles.Org Yay!
- Also, I’m thinking of going back to having just one layout for this site rather than the site skins which keep switching almost every time a page is loaded. It’d driving me nuts. Of course, in Sorrow-land, the distance between thinking and doing is much like stepping into a magical realm where you can disappear for a year or a day. I may think of this now, and actually carry out the task a few months down the track. Or I may do it tomorrow. Who knows? (More to the point; who really cares?)
- Round Three of TBW Awards will be up soon-ish. I keep getting side-tracked by other webbie projects. Therefore, if anyone would like to slap me with a stunned mullet or jab me viciously in the ribs with a blunt stick, it may motivate me to hurry-the-heck up. Okay, you’re right, you don’t know who I am (I could be your neighbour!). Hitting the comment field and DEMANDING that I hurry up will work just as effectively. With any luck.

New images are at the gallery from Jessica’s attendance at the The Young Hot Hollywood Style Awards on April 13th at Element in Hollywood, California. They can be found here.
I did have an article from April’s Cleo magazine (NZ issue) to write up and add to the articles section, but it sat in the mailbox in the pouring rain and the sender wrapped it badly, so it’s now drying out in the airing cupboard…

A thread at the Forum reminded me that I’ve had a copy of the writer’s first draft of the Pilot uploaded to the site for a couple of months now, and have never yet actually linked it up. It’s now available in the Episodes page, under Pilot (eh, of course).
- Also, I’ve completely reorganised the categories at the fan fic archive into Standalone and Multi-chapter. Also added a mod to display who the newest member is and the total members & authors at the archive. Anonymous reviews have now been enabled so people don’t have to register and log in in order to post reviews.

The season finale of NCIS is approaching, and Iluvaqt posted news at the forum of an article hinting one of the main cast members is going to die. Question any Michael Weatherly fan will most likely be asking; will it be Agent Anthony Dinozzo?
See below for the full article.
TV INSIDER: Hell Breaks Loose on ‘NCIS’
BECK/SMITH CELEBRITY GOSSIP

You know the network TV season is coming to an end when all hell breaks loose — including a biological attack that will take place May 17 on ‘NCIS.’ That launches the story arc that will wind up with the May 24 season-ender, which will find ‘one of the team members in deep, deep trouble’ as creator-exec producer Don Bellisario puts it. ‘It’s going to be a shocker. It’s going to have such an impact on the show, it will carry over into next season.’ Actually, word is that one of the main characters dies, but wily veteran Bellisario’s not confirming. The master showman — who has brought us series including ‘Magnum, P.I.,’ ‘Quantum Leap,’ and ‘JAG’ — would rather talk about how his Mark Harmon starrer has become increasingly popular despite being programmed opposite ‘American Idol.’ ‘In fact, we’ve even done fairly well when we’ve had a rerun on against ‘American Idol,'’ he crows. ‘I think ‘NCIS’ will get an audience who’s never seen the show giving it a try this summer, and it will carry over into the fall.’ Surely he’d like CBS to give it a less difficult slot. ‘Not really,’ he says. ‘I think it’s just fine where it is.’ Wonder how he’ll feel May 25, the day after shows’ finales go head to head?

I recently recieved an email from someone in search of a particular DA music vid. I couldn’t offer any help myself, but thought I’d put a notice up here in case anyone else can?
Amiris is looking for a vid made from Dark Angel’s season two ep < xhref="http://www.thebrokenworld.org/episode/0211_the_berrisford_agenda.php" target=_blank>The Berrisford Agenda. It could perhaps be created by the guy who ran the website jamponyxpress.com but it’s hard to say, as the site is no longer up. If anyone can offer any clues as to what this vid might be called and where it can be accessed, please leave a comment to this post.
