April 2005

Jessica will be on an episode of Trippin’ on 2nd May.  This will be her second time on MTV’s celebrity reality show, where she’ll be in Costa Rica this time round.

First up on the fandom agenda, I thought I might name-drop a cool new Dark Angel RPG site (which I meant to mention a few weeks ago, but forgot to). If you’re into RPG, you should check out Queen of the Underworld, and if you’re not into RPG then check it out anyway, because the site layout is beautiful. :)

Next up, if you happen to log in to TBW’s Forum you may well find yourself bombarded by PM’s declaring “TAG! YOU’RE IT!” Don’t worry, it’s not a bizarre case of madness (well it always is, but in this case madness has nothing to do with it) it’s just a new competition/game we’ve got going where the object is to interview fellow members. It’s one of those morale raising, get-to-know-each-other things, and we’d particularly like lurkers to join in. Best way to escape the madness? You can’t. And as the saying goes; if you can’t beat it, join it! :D

I’ve added a new page to the site for fandom news. I figured people might be interested in what’s going on out there in the wider DA fandom… new fansites, forums, whatever…  So if you have a new DA-related fansite, your DA forum has a new competition running, your RPG needs a new person to take over a character, you’ve come across an amazing new fan fic you think others might like to check out, or whatever other fandom-related things you think we should all know about, please use send an email to admin@ this domain and I’ll post your update! :)

As our group blog here at TBW has been inactive for some time now (spam and procrastination), I’ve created a LiveJournal community which regular members of TBW’s forum are invited to join. You must have a minimum of 10 posts at the forum to join the LJ community.

Please check it out! :)

Just a quick note to say I’ve uploaded the season one gag reel to the Gallery. The season two gag reel will be up eventually, but my internet connection is so sloooow….

Ages back, Jessica was a victim of Ashton Kutcher’s hidden camera show, Punk’d, in which she was hounded by a naked guy in a clothing store.  Realizing I’ve had the clip sitting around in my computer since the beginning of time, I’ve uploaded it to the Gallery.  Enjoy.

  • Jessica Alba spoke with ‘Xtra’ at the Sin City premiere, and confessed to how she learnt her stripper moves for the movie.  Check out the clip  here.
  • Finally, I’ve made some Sin City icons for the gallery. If you want to use them, please save to your computer and upload to your own webspace (yeah yeah, you’ve heard it all before…)

Not much to add for the moment except that I’ve made some Jensen icons and added them up to the gallery.

If you’d like to use them, please save to your computer and upload to your own webspace! (www.imageshack.us as a suggestion.)

Lexie posted a cast update at the forum on Nicki Aycox (Syl), who has been hired for her own series called Over There . Nicky will be playing a female soldier in the war in Iraq. FX has already bought 13 episodes. :)

Hollywood Reporter: FX has ordered a pilot from Steven Bochco Prods. for a series set on the front lines of the conflict in Iraq.

“Over There” is an ensemble drama that will explore the lives of a select group of Army soldiers in combat as well as the families they left behind. Bochco will serve as executive producer with Chris Gerolmo (”Mississippi Burning”), who will direct the pilot he wrote.

The pilot marks the first collaboration between Bochco, the veteran producer of gritty series like “Hill Street Blues,” and 20th Century Fox Television since he sued 20th several years ago over the syndication sale of “NYPD Blue.”

The series was originally set up at Paramount Network Television, where Bochco has an overall production deal, but the deal fell apart there because of concerns about economic issues surrounding the project, particularly its prospects for foreign sales, sources said.

Also from Lexie, Nicky will be reprising her role as Ellie Rebecca Brass on CSI Las Vegas next month - 05.05.05

In other news, TVFan reports that two of the writer/producers from Dark Angel went on to Tru Calling, Rob Doherty and Doris Egan.

Thanks for posting the news peeps! If anyone else out there has any DA related news to share, please click the ’submit cast news’ link in the updates category, or you can post a cast update in The Actors and Actresses of DA… are where?? thread at the forum.

Sin City has grabbed the No. 1 spot at the box office this weekend with $28.1 million from 3,230 theatres, according to Variety.

A couple images of Jess from the Sin City premiere have been added to the gallery. Click the images for larger pics. (Remember please save to your own webspace if wishing to redistribute images.)

Thanks to TVFan for pointing out several of the smaller scale cast of Dark Angel who have been seen on the remake series of Battlestar Galactica.

  • Kandyse McClure (Annie in ‘Dawg Day Afternoon’ and ‘Hello Goodbye’) as Petty Officer Dualla
  • Grace Park (the X5 with the failed breeding partner in ‘Designate This’) as Lt. Sharon ‘Boomer’ Valerii
  • Nicki Clyne (Fixit from ‘Bag Em’) as Crewman Specialist Cally, Aaron
  • Douglas (hotel clerk in ‘Exposure’) as Chief Petty Officer Tyrol
